Magic/Support Reserves Meeting, Main Campfire, Wednesday After Classes

In theory, Tara knew everyone who came to a Reserves meeting was her friend. That theory wasn't helping her case of the jitters about leading the meeting as much as she'd like. She couldn't look at the group as a whole, or at Kennedy, or at Karla, Raven and Emmett; she was sure she'd completely lose the ability to speak if she did. She settled for

Kennedy didn't typically miss a Magic Reserves meeting to begin with, and between the interest of Reserves cooperation and the need to do her Supportive Girlfriend thing she definitely wasn't missing this one. She was looking forward to the demonstration; a spell like this could be useful. How was that gonna go wrong?

Raven felt the surge of confusion and panic almost before her brain even registered that people, not items, had vanished. She turned to Karla and Tara to ask what had happened, but they weren't there. No, they were there, she could feel them not dirty, she just couldn't see them. "You are both invisible," she stated, not realizing that she was as well yet.

"Holy shit!" was Emmett's helpful contribution, after the girl scream when Raven's voice came out of the thin air that half the people around the campfire circle had disappeared into. "You're all invisible!"

"I am?" Raven said. She glanced down at herself and realized her legs were now gone. She didn't feel any differently, so she wasn't about to engage in flail mode, but she was confused. "Oh, dear...."

If you had to talk to Tara, grabbing her while she fussed with her supplies before the meeting started was probably the best way to go.

Emmett... when was Emmett ever not visible? From a hundred feet away? He remained so after the spell, having only one magic bone in his body, and that one euphemistic.

The invisibility spell is completely voluntary, but it can affect anyone in the vicinity -- you don't have to normally come to reserve meetings to participate.

Invisible characters become completely invisible, clothes included, and can't see each other. However, if someone invisible puts on a hat or rolls in flour or whatever, that's visible.

In game time, invisible characters are invisible for about three or four hours. In real time, a post resolving this plot will go up around 8 EST tonight.

Would it be possible if Asuna experienced the invisibility spell another way? Asuna has anti-magic capabilities she's still unaware of and that tends to make spells go awry in creative ways.
