To all of Luceti, this is Captain Alexei speaking. I'm sure some of you have spotted a strange beasts that has appeared around our village, most likely breached the barrier to arrive here. From my own observation they seem to be looking for something and won't show aggression unless approached. So please don't engage these creatures unnecessarily. ( Read more... )

They're just dreams, Alexei. [Since being related by marriage gives her first-name basis, in her humble opinion.] And if everyone's having them, it's probably just another Shift. The last one was too mild not to have a follow-up.

I've gotten much the same impression from these things.

Whatever they're after, they obviously haven't found it.

...and if it helps, a lot of people are having especially vivid dreams, at the moment.

Some of us get their attention more easily than others. They haven't paid me much attention unless I throw a rock at them, even though I've spent most of the day recording them.

Dreams that felt very real, yes. And I have, and it's Giles. Nice to meet you, even if it is under unfortunate circumstances.

I don't know if there is a possible connection between the two, but say they're targeting those that aren't having these dreams. These "vivid dreams" didn't start until a day before the creatures appeared and their thought pattern leaves us with the impression that they're looking for something specific.

That's why I asked, if you've been having them.

Um... I've been having really vivid dreams, but they're really not that strange...

[Certainly nowhere near the level of what she's heard from others. In fact, they're probably less weird than some of the dreams she's had in the past - the only difference is that these dreams are much more vivid.]

I see. I've seen mixed responses from a nightmare to pleasant dreams. All seem to be on the same subject of having this other life.

They really didn't seem like that to me, but... I guess it's true for a lot of other people. [Going by what she's heard, at least. Her own dreams seem to be the odd-ones-out so far compared to what other people had been tallking about over the journals since they started.]

Yeah, but I didn't go near it. I think they're searching for something. [At least if that one's behavior was any indication. She's admittedly wary about the beasts regardless, but as long as they're not outright attacking people she cares about...]

That's what I'm trying to figure out myself. What they're after...

We're going to try and bring one in during our session tomorrow, see what we can learn from them.
