Someone who works with animals has decided to keep a record of every animal they euthanize. I find this both beautiful and disturbing. The day I found it we had recently euthanized a number of animals and I was feeling pretty awful. Secondly, I just ran across an article on the Damn Interesting blog about Puffin Dogs. The lundehund was bred in Norway to catch puffins, which were a major food source, but roosted on inaccessible cliffs. These dogs are polydactyl, but the extra toes are fully functional. I knew it was time to sleep when I looked down at the pasta strainer in the drying rack and thought to myself, "Hm, that would make a good hat."

A funny thing happened last night... Since Robert and I went separate ways for the evening, he didn't know that I was already in bed, asleep when he got home with some friends.
