Well, looks like Zhenya doesn't need a babysitter after all! Thank you all for being available. I'll be gone probably about 24 hours, so she won't need anyone to check up on her. And I'm coming back with a computer!!

I'm looking to drive to Seattle in a couple of weeks to go get my new computer. I'll probably need to spend a night there, just because driving that far by myself makes me a little nutty. Would someone be willing to check on Zhenya on a Saturday/Sunday? She doesn't need much, but it would put my heart at ease.

It just came to my attention that I never sent an announcement when I moved the last time. That was mid-summer... I mean, I plastered the internet with moving notices, but never emailed anyone with my new address. Sorry world! I guess I was too intent on slinking out of my old place with a minimum of fanfare and wedding-canceled-ness.

Happy House has three cars available to go to the concert this evening (Paul, Vera, Reid). We were discussing fancy dress. Who wants to come? Who needs a ride? Do people have opinions on whether or not we go to dinner afterwards?

Today started with a whole lot of silly internet. Then my sister picked me and Paul up and we went to meet my brother in Tremont, where there was apparently a fabulous brunch place (Portland style, local, organic, waiters with piercings and crazy hair). About 50% of the time I log into this site now, I get a pop-up ad that covers the whole page and autoplays a stupid Best Buy Christmas ad, complete with stupid music. This may be enough for me to stop using this site entirely. I'm still considering my options.
