State of the Vera Address
I figure it's time for another State of the Vera address... I've been posting one liners about my pets for so long that I think I've forgotten how to post anything introspective and meaningful.
In terms of pets:
Zhenya has finally grown a spine and mostly ignores Baldr's frantic attempts to play. As soon as he's out of sight, she's on the floor fluffing her tail at us and sticking her nose into every nook and cranny. Baldr has learned how to go to his kennel with a minimum of fuss. It's not a fight to get him to go in anymore. I have plenty of cute puppy/kitten stories, but I'll save those for later.
In terms of myself:
I've been seeing a therapist for a few sessions and I think I'm finally working out some of my shit. I won't go into any detail, but I feel like I'm remembering who I am and how to be me. I've thrown too much of myself into things that really mean nothing to me in an attempt to fit in, in the process I tried to be someone that I'm not. Part of this process of re-self-discovery was 21 days of prayer in every situation.
In terms of this livejournal:
Like I said above, I've been posting drivel here. Some part of me just isn't very comfortable with the way I'm using this space and enough in my life is changing fast enough, so I've decided to start an actual "blog." (Whatever the hell that means...) So I've joined the mass exodus from Livejournal to Blogger. You can find the new blog at Flying Tiger and I've also syndicated it for Livejournal at faethverityblog. I'm not getting rid of this journal, it'll just be in addition to.
In terms of Matt:
Matt left his last job in late December/early January. We both thought he'd find new work immediately. Most companies didn't even respond. Some responded, interviewed him, and then strung him along for weeks with a maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe, no. We've both been very stressed during this time. Whee! Well, as of today, Matt has a job in Seattle.
So, um, let me know if I have any of your stuff before we move.
