Something I find very frustrating and upsetting is when people choose *not* to vote, especially under the excuse "my vote doesn't matter, California's going to go democratic anyway". Voting is not a right, and even more than a privilege, it is a responsibility. To vote is to act as a member of a community, making decisions about and for the good ( Read more... ) -

Cool thing for today: UCSC reference desk has started an online chat feature where you can ask a librarian questions. It's perfect for helping people who are away from campus! I used it today to get help finding an article that I couldn't access through the regular methods. And now my research can move forward without delay! It was really cool.
