Well, the first day of field work went well. Eldar and I scouted out locations to take spectra tomorrow. We also described the various units and sub-units in one section so that tomorrow we know what we're looking at and we can quickly take spectra and be done! The Discovery Channel is also sending out a team to film my supervisor, Janice, working. They're doing a show on mars and other planetary body analog sites and have already filmed several other scientists in the field. So, things may take a bit longer since there will also be a camera crew that has needs and wants particular shots. But, Discovery Channel! Thus, tomorrow we will be measuring lots of spectra at two different sites, and wednesday we all head home.
