This was a really good chapter. I really enjoyed seeing Shou... Break? I think Hiroto needed to see and hear that. He keeps doing the most idiotic things because he wants to shoulder it all on himself, but he's helping no one by doing that. It was sweet that Ash tried to be understanding, he can be really very harsh, but it's part of why I like him; he's blunt. Heh, and more SagaxTora moments... *Sigh* You guys spoil me.
Ah you have no idea how glad I man to hear that. Lately Jackie and I have had a different routine for writing chapters and it's thrown me off a little; but not in a bad way just made me start to worry about quality and such. Of course she yells at me for it and tells me that I'm silly for worrying (which I am silly) but it doesn't make it there any less. Therefore I'm very glad to hear that you though it was good

Mandy started this chapter and she wrote the initial Shou freak out--I think it can be considered that, by the way. A freak out to an extent. :D And I remember totally jumping around in my seat, arms pumped in the air over it. :D I was so in love with it myself, I praised Mandy for it, so I am ABSOLUTELY glad you liked it too. :D

You want to know the worst thing you could possibly do while reading this chapter? Listen to 'Time Machine'. I just read the translation for that song not two seconds before I read this so I was listening to it and thinking about what it meant and then reading Shou unload a few pounds worth of stress and anger and I started bawling. This is why I always eat chocolate when I read this story! ^.^
There was a certain part... hang on I have to find it...
I’m sick…and tired…I’m sick and tired of you…” Shou ran the back of his hand under his nose, his other hand still clutched in Shiki’s grasp, “…of you thinking you have to do everything alone. That line was what got me started and then the whole rant afterward just made it worse because I got this really clear visual of Shou just going to town and Hiroto trying to shrink into his corner and stay there forever. It was a really powerful thing for me that they’ve gotten to the point of stressed out and pissed off that someone finally broke and said “Fuck this I’m done being nice, you

Okay I am going to try and stay as on task to answering this as possible. :D Just so I don't end up writing two pages worth of freaking out and high fiving you, all right? :D
So...the sections you picked out are actually some of our favorites. I think tis safe to say this on Mandy's behalf--we loved writing the breaking of Shou. Because thats really what it was. It was his own emotional break down, his own dam spilling forth after some what...twenty five or so chapters of crap? Its surprising it took this long for his smile and optimism to go away.
We do get what you mean about the power behind the words when Shou says them. Though Ash has become important to all of Alice Nine, he is not the same as the members themselves. He is their friend but the band is like a family. Brothers so to speak (though I don't think I know many brothers that do what Tora and Saga do >_<). With that being said, there is more power behind Shou's words than Ash's in the emotional sense. Ash is like "I know this shit, you don't. Listen to me." and Shou

Ah no, but!! The thing is at least you don't have to really wait for updates. That part is over. We were pretty fast about updates but that sort of ended as life kicked both of our asses. It has been forever since I read anything. :( However, I'm hoping over the break to catch up on stuff I want to - 9th included. ^_^
Man, oh man. o.o I never thought I would see Shou be so...serious with a capital S. o.o The way he was talking to Hiroto, especially in the last quote:
I…I would rather die than be their trophy. I would rather die than let you be their trophy.
The cold weather didn't help the tension crawling in my nerves while reading this either.
I KNOW!! Shou is...not usually serious. He's usually so cheerful but Pon means enough to him that he would be serious. He's so devastated, still even - by Aiko's death. The whole thing, everything they've been through, is catching up with him and the idea that Hiroto is in danger worries him more than he's comfortable with.
Oh man!! That's awesome that you got a combined effect. ^_^!!
Thank you so much!! We are so glad you like it!! God - it just means a lot to us. Thank you!! :D!!
