Hmmmm....meant to keep this more updated but I suppose with my FB status updates...it covers most of it. However, I meant to write after my first day trip that I took to Southern Afghanistan. I just finished my 2nd day trip...this time to the East. Flying in military aircraft over Afghanistan just gives me a sense of pride for some reason... ( Read more... )

So my journey finally ended after 4 days of traveling. That is pretty short compared to others who get stuck in other places waiting on a plane. My first day here was awful but I think it was because I had had no sleep except an hour nap here and there for 3 days. Everything was overwhelming and my living space made me feel claustrophobic. I am finally starting my trip to Afghanistan so that I can return just as fast. I leave real early tomorrow and it should be a rollercoaster from there. Not sure where I will get stuck and for how long until I finally reach my destination. I really hope it is painless. I got 10 hrs of sleep today and I am exhausted right now. So it's basically almost Oct and I thought I would be more active back in March but alas here we are again.  I've decided I am going to use this as my deployment blog when I head out in Nov.
