I figured it was an occasion to write another journal entry. I have been really sucky at this! lol I swear my FB statuses, if put all together, are sufficient enough to be an entry itself!
Anyway, I have reached the top of the mountain and it looks real nice up here. Tomorrow I start my descent to a wonderful place called HOME. 3 months have flown by. I just want these next 3 to do the same. My experience here has been a good one though and I am ever so thankful for that. I just hope it keeps going that way. As summer peeks around the corner...I am more nervous for what that brings insurgent-wise. It is going to be a hot, busy summer and I just want to get outta here safely. I also hope for the safety of all my new friends and armed forces I am going to be leaving behind. I have met some real cool people out here from the U.S and many other countries like Romania, Macedonia, and Holland among others. I would have never ever thought I would have a friend in those countries but I sure will be visiting sometime in the future especially if we move to Europe in the Spring.
The job here has been really interesting as well. DV warfare. It is not too bad especially b/c we are not so much protocol as we are trip planners. It is a nice break from what I do at home. For reals.
Weather has been real nice in Kabul lately. I love seeing the mountains surround us. This country could be absolutely wonderful. So much potential. There are gorgeous landscapes in certain regions.
Thank you to everyone who has been supporting me and sending me love in the form of words, packages, thoughts, all of it! I do appreciate it. Keep it coming! Assist me down this mountain! ha! Ok, I am a dork.
