Thanksgiving Eve, I stayed up until 3 a.m. watching Gone With The Wind with my two girls. That show is awful/fabulous. I cringed, laughed and awed at the whole 5 hour (with commercials) spectacle. So, around the 16th of September I got that awful sore throat feeling you get when you're coming down with a cold. Getting sick really sucks when you teach school because you need your voice and my voice is already damaged due to my stupid vocal cord nodes. Summer vacation is over and I'm back to work. This has been the hottest week of the year (near 100 degree temps all week). When I start to complain I remember the freezing, never-ending hell that will be here in a couple of months and quickly shut up. I will choose heat over cold any day.
