Yesterday was the first day after a nice mini-vacation (off since 21 Dec). A surprising amount of people are still not in, but maybe they figured taking these three days was worthwhile. Unless I go somewhere, I don't really like adding too many days to the shutdown ( Read more... )

The NFL season kicks off with Atlanta at Philadelphia (bird fight) which is a nice game. I'm doubly interested since I was a bozo and drafted double ATL players in my first two rounds (I only slightly reached for one of them). Today is like a "mini" Friday. Since Independence Day is on a Wednesday this year, this week is 2 days on, 1 day off, 1 full day, 1 half day, then another weekend. So overall, I can't complain even if I normally prefer Independence Day falling on a Tuesday or Thursday ( Read more... )

The World Cup has been pretty entertaining so far. I told Youtube TV to record all World Cup matches and I'll watch the ones of interest to me. So I typically watch 1 to 2 matches a day and since it's without half time and a fast sport, its just an hour and a half per match.
