I guess It did not register for me until yesterday that it was both Cinco de Mayo and KY Derby day.  As it was, I never have really paid that much attention to either, but did decide to go to my friends Michael and Greg's Derby party yesterday. I worked 8 hours of OT yesterday so only had a one day weekend today. To take full advantage, I decided to get the camera out for some softball photos from the Pegasus league games today. They play the games at the softball complex in Kiest Park. It so happens that it is right next to the Kiest Memorial Gardens, so a bonus photo day!

Still have not had my car seen. Last Wednesday when I spoke to the adjuster, he told me an inspector would call me within "48 business hours" to make an appointment to take a look at the car. That time frame ended today and I still have not heard anything. Grrrrrr...

Short and sweet, these are the first photos of Texas Spring that is suddenly upon us. Due to all the rain we have had to end the drought, the wildflowers are profuse. It was in the 80s today and I also have my first sunburn of the year even with sunscreen on. These are the best of the lot today...

I had the joy of making my way to Seattle for a too short weekend visit with joebehrsandiego. This was my first trip there and I have to say it is my new favorite US city, even with the crazy weather (rain, snow and sun in one day).

At the invitation of my good friend Brett, I decided to attend the TGRA Texas Tradition Rodeo this weekend. Brett was competing for the first time ever after just learning to ride a horse a couple of years ago and I thought it was important to be there to cheer him on.
