Brought our rubbermaid boxes into house from truck. Going to try to pack today and tomorrow. Landlord is coming Monday or Tuesday to look at stove. Tamales came out wonderful. I want to make them again soon. I also made the stuffed ricotta cheese shells with parm cheese too. And a meat tomato sauce on top with motzarella cheese melted on top. Candice candibee and I arrived at Dan's funeral at 7:03. It started at 7:00. I felt bad we were late on my account for Candice. She drives all the way up here and I am late. At least we got a seat, within 10 minutes it was standing room only.
Dan's dankaye dad (a preacher) lead the service. People laughed at the podium, they cried, they made me weep and laugh ( Read more... )

Update on Dan Kivel:
Dan will be cremated then sent to Michigan. The memorial may be at Hopcroft in Madison Heights. Details of the day and time of the memorial are to follow.
- Donations of any size can and should be made to Americorp in Dan's name. He would have really appreciated anything you can do to help the cause he died serving.

Apparently, sometime today, dankaye got sucked into a riptide in New Orleans and pulled under. This happened between 5 and 6 hours ago. At the time, his team members went looking for him and couldn't find him. They called the coast guard, the local PD and a bunch of other help. As of right now, they haven't ( Read more... )
