From denisbaldwin's livejournal last night...
Apparently, sometime today, dankaye got sucked into a riptide in New Orleans and pulled under. This happened between 5 and 6 hours ago. At the time, his team members went looking for him and couldn't find him. They called the coast guard, the local PD and a bunch of other help. As of right now, they haven't found him. They'll continue to look tonight and tomorrow.
His current status is "Missing and Presumed Dead".
If you know Dan, please say a prayer.
