Engines, Machines, and Still No Baby!!!

     Yesterday was quite a day, which is why I'm writing about it the next morning instead...

Wish I was there in person to help with the swather. Have you inspected the belts, chains, and/or clutches leading to the head? Loose or worn belts can cause the head to bog down even with a light load.

As far as doing it by hand, I grafted a sickle blade (as in, curved thing normally with a short handle) onto a maul handle. Doesn't run out of gas until I do, the only string is tightly wrapped around the end to ensure the wood doesn't split, and I can chop down brush with the thing.
