All I want is for my student to do well. Nobody tells you how emotionally draining grading papers can be. Sure they tell you about how it takes a lot of time to do. So I removed my TV to the closet in an experiment to see if I could go a month without it. The hope is to make myself more productive (e.g. "Gee, there's nothing to watch movies on, I guess I'll do some homework instead") and to see if it lowers my energy bill any. So with my time off this last weekend, or rather the time spent not doing my homework, I began adding more to the script I've been doing for the One Act. Only problem is, my script sucks. Yesterday's shirt at the desk proved once again that all the weird stuff happens during my shift. Our computer was so messed up. Instead of showing just the items that our building checks out to students, we had the inventory of at least 6 other buildings on campus. Yesterday was day 3 in the new place. I have yet to do dishes as I lack the brush end of my scrub brush thing. I need to pick up some of those today. Yesterday was pretty uneventful. Today marks day number two of living in my new apartment. Did I mention that I live alone? So far life on my own is not quite as idealistic as I had imagined. For starters, I've been telling everyone all summer about how exciting it is going to be on my own.
