I want to read a Val McDiarmid book so badly! Also I'd love to go to one of those crazy Japanese restaurants but the knife juggling thing scares the bejeezus outta me!

1) I'm buying all of my books now through Amazon Marketplace. I haven't paid more than $4 for a paperback in months. (The book of usually costs $0.01, and then $3.99 for standard USPS ground shipping.) Check them out. I loved the Tony Hill/Carol Jordan series, and now I'm reading the ones that stand alone.

2) They are about 5 feet from you, and mainly spin their fork and spatula so it's not as dangerous. They do awesome stuff like flip items into their hats and pockets (ours had an egg spinning and flipped it into his breast pocket). He then proceeded to flip tiny balls of rice at us to catch in our mouths. It was really fun. Also, just to really put your mind at ease, they train for over a year before they're able to be around customers. It's expensive (generally about $20 per person) but so worth it as a treat.
