dorkage: House 4x03 97 Seconds

Oct 11, 2007 23:33

Sigh, OMG. The House love continues - so far, the weakest episode of the season, but considering how awesome the first two were? Doesn't mean much, at all.

- Definitely one of the episodes I'll need to rewatch to decide how much I like it. In contrast to my unabashed adoration of 4x02, this episode - well, it was good, but it didn't blow me away. ( Read more... )

Hee. Not having seen the ep, I'm just going to comment on what I can e.g Teh Huddy. And also on things I just KNOW without seeing it e.g Cameron being a smug pain in the arse.

- BTW? GET OFF THE SCREEN, CAMERON. OMG. In the three seconds she took to cross her arms and smirk at House about liking Chase better now? I wanted to smack her upside the head with a brick. So SMUG, GAH.

ARRGH. It'sl ike she's trying to fling it in House's face that she's over him now and likes someone else better. She'd be as well sticking her tongue out at him and going "Na na na na na, sucker!" or something. So immature. And the best bit? Hello, HOUSE DOESN'T CARE. HOUSE LIKES CUDDY. Wake up and smell the coffee Cameron you silly bitch. I can tell I'm really gonna hate her even more this season.

Cuddy is pretty damn unusual as a Dean of Medicine: for her, the patient comes first, not the hospital's bottom line. (Except when the plot requires it, like in Euphoria.) That's why she lets House get away with the wacky shit he does (though he ( ... )

LOL, like you needed another reason to hate her, hon!! When the season starts for you and you get to see these episodes yourself, your brain might explode from all the Cam-hatred that will surely take you over. ;) Yes, she was remarkably smug and annoying in this scene. Three seconds and I wanted to stick a fork in her eye. Sigh. There have been times I didn't mind the Cameron character, honestly. Where did those times go??

(you, obviously, would say that those times should never have happened at all, hee.)

Yes she's DoM, but she's also a doctor, and she'd go with the latter when the chips are down without question. And yes, House ultimately respects her more because he knows this. She (and they together) ROCK.I know you agree, and you know I agree, but we both know we never get tired of celebrating the gorgeousness that is our ship!! He's the doctor she ( ... )

I'm with you on liking most of the ep, but not totally buying the 97 seconds aspect. I have no trouble at all accepting that House would experiment on himself in this manner, to prove someone wrong (like the migraine drug in "Distractions") but, eh. The presentation of it was sketchy. In it for the high is an interesting idea, but I don't think they presented it like that. Seems they are trying to do an arc at the moment, with the spiritual aspects (given Big Love's involvement, this episode, and the preview for the next episode ( ... )

That's absolutely it - they didn't present it quite right, and tried to shove in so many explanations (or not) for what he did, as a B-plot. There just wasn't time enough to explore something quite as ludicrously dangerous as this, as well as the whole POTW A-plot that took up so much time. I find it interesting that they do seem to be focusing a bit on the spiritual aspect, despite House's apparent confirmation to himself that, well, there's nothing after all. No high? I say, fretfully.

Fanwank: House didn't page Cuddy (or Wilson) because of emotional involvement.

Good fanwank! I thoroughly approve. You're right about the emotional involvement - it's kind of nice to think he knew how insane he was being and that he decided to spare Wilson and Cuddy the pain and horror of finding him electrocuted to death, at least.

Seriously, seriously, seriously -- my dream ( ... )

The spiritual arc is just coming off of his religious discussion with Big Love in 4x02, and then his experimentation in 4x03 -- and then of course the preview for the next ep. I do kind of like House as little boy lost. ;)

But I do admit that hot office sex would blow my mind. Even better would be if it were all unconsummated and every time they try to get it on all over the hospital, they keep getting interrupted.

I'll take it! I must say, a part of me wishes one day it would've just been revealed that House and Cuddy have been sleeping with each other for a prolonged period of time, and were just keeping it secret. But then I also really want to EXPERIENCE a H/C hook up! But yes, please, hot on-the-desk office sex, with uber-frustrated Cuddy. Interruptions would be hot, too, except that it would give the two of them too much time to come to their senses. The only way I can conceive of it happening is in the heat of the moment kind of way. I have to send you my H/C song of the moment sometime.

But I think it depends on what ( ... )

This should be fun to watch. I know where YOUR spiritual salvation lies, House - to paraphrase you, buried somewhere in Cuddy's cleavage. ;)

But then I also really want to EXPERIENCE a H/C hook up! OH MAN, I don't think I could stand it if TWO of my OTPs took this route. Seriously, the XF just KILLED me when they did this with Mulder and Scully - it's painful to think you've watched a show for eight years or so, shipping a couple hopefully and tirelessly, and being told that, hey, they've been schtupping for the last two years! I mean, it's still good to know, and as a shipper I can totally work with that. But gah. It would STILL kill me not to get to see that first explosive kiss. Well, not first, for H/C, but first for the reignition of their (sexual) relationship ( ... )

I love your Huddy summary, complete with visual aids. :D And I totally agree with this observation: BTW? GET OFF THE SCREEN, CAMERON. OMG. In the three seconds she took to cross her arms and smirk at House about liking Chase better now? I wanted to smack her upside the head with a brick. So SMUG, GAH. I actually liked the end scene between House & Cam last week, but this week I just wanted to smack her. My first thought after that scene was "Oh, real mature Cameron!" Ugh, so smug. Not a good look on her. I am quite liking the new, improved Chase though.

Was wondering if I could friend you, as you say you plan on doing a weekly review and Huddy pic spam and I'd like to keep up with them. You don't have to bother friending me back, I never post (publically at least) in my journal anyway.

Hey there! of course I wouldn't mind if you friended me - I'm honoured you'd want to keep up with my horribly self-indulgent, frighteningly obsessive picspammage. ;) I'll do my best to post with every new episode, if RL allows, but it shouldn't be too difficult, because, hello. House and Cuddy rock. Picture PROOF:

Great, thanks. :)

And how great is that picture? :D I like how House and Cuddy pretty much totally ignore personal space boundries when they're around each other.

Oh yes, they SO get into each other's faces. This ship wins at life. I love how she's smiling at him in that shot - so flirty-cute even when she's scolding him!

Just the way she stands when she confronts him:

For all that she's been criticised like crazy for being weak and a lousy administrator who won't stand her ground over "what's right", Andi (for that is what I shall call her) is proof that "right" is as "right" does. By which I mean, Cuddy is pretty damn unusual as a Dean of Medicine: for her, the patient comes first, not the hospital's bottom line.

Exactly! I couldn't agree more. To Cuddy, what's first is the patient, not some damn rules which could have ended up with a dead human being. That, in itself, is true strength - not some idiot who's all goody-two-shoe (or w/e) with the rules and doesn't dare overstep them in fear of getting fired, but will ultimately end up with a dead patient too.

She will be the newest Duckling, v2.0, and soon there will be House/13 threads everywhere (although she looks even younger than Cameron, bigger sigh).

Ahaha, I think that only applies to those who don't ship: House/Cuddy, House/Cameron or House/Wilson. Unless they're multi-shippers...

Should have paged Cuddy. She'd have moved heaven and ( ... )

Shika!! *flails at you* OMG, this only proves to me how like-minded House/Cuddy fans are - we meet EVERYWHERE. I'm g from FF, btw, and this is, evidently, my fangirly LJ. The other one has some RL people on it who would be terrified by the... um, depth of my adoration of our ship. So, separate LJ for fic and pic-spamming! Heh.

Exactly right. That's what I love about the Cuddy character - she has to balance the part of her that's practical and all Dean of Medicine, with the part of her that knows, deep down, that House is always doing what he thinks is right. More importantly, she shares that idea of what's right with him, which is what made 4x02's OR scene so thudworthy for me. He gets that she gets him, you know? BIG ( ... )

Oh my god... Wow. Hi g!! Of course we meet everywhere - cuz we can't stay away from all the Huddy goodness! :) Can I add you on this account too?

LOL!!

I'm sure there are people jumping on the House/13 bandwagon already. Mainly because Hugh Laurie could have chemistry with a wall. But me, I'm just glad I've found my ship and am sticking with it as it sets sail. Heh. ;)

Hugh Laurie is DA MAN. I'd ship House/Cane. But anyway: I do know some people who are interested in House/Amber (I believe that's her name? Cut-throat-bitch?) because of that time when they stumbled against the wall together. *shrug* But for me, it'll always be Huddy.

Wow, it's like we're mind twins and all have the same dirty Huddy thoughts. HEE. Season. Of. The. Schtup. It HAS to be, come on... ;)

ALL HAIL THE SEASON OF SCHTUP (man i love that word)!! ;D BRING IT ON CUZ WE'RE READY FOR IT!! <33

Duh, of course, like you even needed to ask!! I'm so adding you now. As long as you don't mind having to deal with TWO lots of fangirling from me (I still can't resist fangirling on my other LJ account, heh - it's just that this one allows me to be my TRUE fangirly self!!).

Hugh Laurie is DA MAN. I'd ship House/Cane.

Oh MAN, SO MUCH TRUTH. Because Hugh Laurie is my TV boyfriend, yes indeed he is. I haven't been so impressed or charmed by an actor in AGES. I just want to take House home and feed him Vicodin, LOL!

House/Cuddy, FTW, forever. It's so blindingly obvious to me I don't know how people can ship any other person with House, seriously.

ALL HAIL THE SEASON OF SCHTUP (man i love that word)!! ;D BRING IT ON CUZ WE'RE READY FOR IT!! <33Oh, ABSOLUTELY. You know our brains are going to collectively implode the day we finally get THAT EPISODE, right???? Hee. I really do suspect I'll have to call ( ... )
