Went into school this morning to take my mugs back and to go to a meeting on reading. There's this new thing that's been running in year 1 which has brought good results. It's good if you can get help to the children early because by the time I get them in the juniors, it's almost too late if they can't read well enough. Apparently, I have my own ( Read more... )

I got some presents from the children today. Surprisingly, they were from children I don't normally work with.

One touched me in particular. He gave me a Doctor Who book. It's one of the short reads which you can buy for £1.99, and it looks like it's been read already, but it's just so sweet that he thought enough to give it to me.
