Summer holiday - last day

Went into school this morning to take my mugs back and to go to a meeting on reading. There's this new thing that's been running in year 1 which has brought good results. It's good if you can get help to the children early because by the time I get them in the juniors, it's almost too late if they can't read well enough. Apparently, I have my own desk in an area specially for the TAs. We've got two days to get everything else sorted out as it's going to be a bit different this year.

This evening, I made a big purple flag for a Brownie gathering this Saturday. I'm glad it was purple and not pink.
