Meeting up with Professor Montal on Monday turned up less than what I expected. What I thought was a sure-fire job for an MD/PhD professor from a poor Latino immigrant family was a flop. It's so friggin' cold. Don't get me wrong, I love the cold, but it's as if hell's frozen over.
