I have to ask because I'm possibly in love with the expression, what is "fabric whoring?" That one sounds much too rich to be used incorrectly!

Fabric whoring is where I collect fabric that I don't have a use for. It's fabrics that are too lovely to pass up on, and very inexpensive but what the hell am I gonna do with them?! LOL

H'mm. I think I understand.
So all the fabric acquired over the years sitting in my project backlog wouldn't count. That backlog really is huge, but all but perhaps three pieces of fabric are designated for something specific that I just haven't started, or haven't finished.

Other than "backlog," is there a name for that?

"bukkit list" Or

"kids inheritance" :-P

I also just love them. I really love finding the texture of "real" fabric when I go to the thrift shops in a sea of knitted polyester with vulgar prints, putting hands on a piece of real silk or tropical weight wool. Those fabrics make sense to me. I attribute it to cam whoring, where you just take pictures of yourself so people will notice you, because when I get a really juicy score I plaster it all over my livejounral. :P
