Some Tags that I've been using.

So I just slammed 2 2inch panels into the center back of the corset I made before. I was so pissed when I initially finished it, that I couldn't consider touching it again. But it was oddly pleasing to cut apart something that didn't like me as much as I liked it. And and then when it was done wearing it. Here's some pictures of that.

There was one of the style details on the front edge for something style wise for Lilu. Not sure the stays are getting me where I want, but they are cute anyway. Also need to slip a couple pieces of cable tie down the side front to keep it from buckling too readily.

I just completed the final fitting of a cupped corset I've been developing. This is for a wedding in August, and our final prototype before making the hard use fitting model and the silk shell bridal fabrication for the day of the wedding ( Read more... )

I'm making a pair of bodies at the moment, a 16th century forerunner to a corset. I found that making it just to my measurements then boned left a lot to be desired in the shape. I direct draped the pattern on a paper tape double of myself that's about 2 inches too small ( Read more... )

I also noticed on closer inspection that there is more room in the bust because of the busk. The busk follows smoothly from the underbust to the apex and proceeds on that line making a larger pocket above the apexes. I didn't use a busk in the mock up, so I had no idea that this stabilization would make the front most pocket larger, necessitating ( Read more... )

When I remove the accessory tray from my sewing machine, I now have a lovely short bed machine, so the bust curve is easier, and comes off with well placed stitching (comparatively) and no worry of puckers ( Read more... )
