Just a little photo journal of how dirty a pound or two of raw fleece actually is. This is a fleece that has some sort of problem with it, so it was never scoured until it came home with me. This caused it to be quite sticky and problematic, as well as terribly pungent. Also caused staining at the tips, but perhaps that would have been there ( Read more... )

I do not do thread arts by and large. I don't really do needle point, I've given up doing cross stitch, since they pile up so quickly when you get to the hard part and put them aside. I'm trying to avoid knitting, and most of this is stash control and spending control, not because I"m not interested in these ( Read more... )

So I am now the happy owner of a Country Craftsman spining wheel. Fine yarns and high twist. Distaff that sticks out horizontaly, and that's sorta weird to me, but this is the first whell I've ever played with ( Read more... )
