Snow, on the other hand, wasn't as familiar to Dani as it was to Juliet. She felt as though snow equaled mountains, and mountains made her feel...cautious.

But whatever. This snow was harmless, right?

Bundled up as much as she could be (coat, hat, scarf, gloves, sweater, boots, 'sweatpants' and extra, thin pants under that), Dani waddled down to the Wilderness to find Juliet.

Juliet instantly heard when Dani grew close, the snow crunching under her feet a giveaway. He turned, still smiling. "Fully prepared for the weather?"

Inwardly he laughed. She was so cute, all protected and bundled against the cold.

"Yup!" Dani grinned. "After this, we are totally raiding the hotel for hot cocoa and taking it back to the house. Or maybe we can just chill there for a while." She wasn't going to that ice house, though. That would be cold, and Dani didn't want to get colder.

"So, whatcha makin'?"

"Sounds like a plan. I hope they have some left." Juliet had stared at the construction of the pretty house for a while, wondering where all the ice came from.

"Well...a snow person." He began to gather another pile to make the middle.

Before Dani? After? During? All of the above? burntorangesky November 14 2009, 01:49:12 UTC
Fred peeked out of the lift as the doors opened, staring at the white stuff that coated the ground immediately in front of her. She stepped out into it, smiling to herself as her feet sank beneath the surface slightly.

She was wearing what amounted to a token gesture against the cold--long, slightly thick pants, a long-sleeved shirt topped by a light pullover with a jacket thrown over them all, and boots. A sharp-nosed head popped up from where her ferret was lying across her shoulders, in place of a scarf.

Woooow, it really is snowing! Very interesting, like this place has a... I don't know... a weather system all it's own, or something. And you get lost here without someone with you? That doesn't even make sense! She laughed. "Perhaps not, but that is simply how it is. Come on, let's go find Juliet, I'm sure he will be pleased to see us ( ... )

Ann was fluttering around as Juliet lay on the ground, making a snow angel. "You dolt," she tweeted.

"Dolt? I'm offended," he responded. He would have swooned, but that's hard to do when you're laying on the ground. "I am perfectly intelligent. It will look good when it's done."

The cardinal landed on his chest and affectionately pecked his glasses. He smiled softly at her. It was good to hear her voice.

Then he heard more footsteps. He wondered who it was. Maybe they'd make another angel with him.

Coool~ After Dani, then! burntorangesky November 14 2009, 03:47:22 UTC
Fred walked across the snow, following the tracks several other people had left for lack of any other trail to go by. Her breath puffed out in front of her but the cold didn't seem to be affecting her otherwise.

Do you have any idea where you're going? 'Cause... I think you're lost.

"I don't have a map, how can I avoid being lost? But I'm sure I will run into something if I just keep following these tracks. And less commentary on my directional skills would be appreciated, unless you want to get down and carry me for a bit."

Fine, fine, don't get huffy.

"I wasn't--!" A flash of red caught her eye. A bird? She followed the footsteps as they led in that direction, until she could see a familiar redhead lying on the snow and apparently attempting to swim in it. "You see? I told you we would find something if we just kept walking. Hello, Juliet!" She raised one hand in a greeting.

"Hello Fred!" he replied as he pushed himself up to a sitting position. Ann flew up and pecked his crown. "There's snow in your hair."

"Of course," he replied. To pacify her, he made a halfhearted swipe to brush some out. "This is as good as you're getting."

It was a different Juliet that was in front of Fred. Genuinely happy, no trace of shame or sorrow, and much more relaxed. Strange how frozen water brought out the child in some people. "There's enough snow to play!"

The cold felt good on the rather large throbbing mass he was hiding behind his hair. It was getting rather long at this point and he'd pondered cutting it but other things had occupied his mind, most of which he refused to talk about. The panda really wasn't helping either.

He was bundled up in a puffy coat he'd borrowed from Eyepatch. Sadly, no scarf. That'd burnt up in the fire and he hadn't had the heart to tell Juliet about it yet. He'd definitely notice at this point anyway.

A flying kick came out of seemingly nowhere. Where are you going idiot!

Rabbit didn't really have time to react and found himself face down in the snow. He emerged, rubbing the back of his head. "Dammit, annoyin' old man! I told ya that already! I'm goin' t' play in the snow!"

Have you forgotten what you are?He brought a cold hand to his forehead in disbelief. "I told ya, I can't remember! Tell me then ( ... )

"Hey," he responded, smiling brightly. "Good to see you!" He pushed back some hair from his face and gestured at all the snow. "This has to be the most fun."

Ann chirped up from the branch where she perched. "He seems genial, but why is there a panda?"

"Why are you a bird?" he replied. "Because."

Rabbit smiled largely, happy to see his friend in high spirits. The two of them stood out brightly against the white snow.

"Sure looks like it," Rabbit agreed. "Ya think we could make a bunny outta this?" He pushed the snow with the boots, noticing how well it bunched together. Should be able to pack it together tightly enough to make some good shapes, right?

The panda, however, simply sat there, seemingly observing Juliet and the bird.

"Absolutely!" With a graceful kick, Juliet knocked off half of the snowman he had been making. He picked up some of the fallen snow and began to shape it as he put it on. The ears would be a difficult thing to keep supported...

He paused. "Something like this, or different?" he asked his friend.

It is totes fun, Apollo, where's your joy? esoteric_rose November 14 2009, 07:27:22 UTC
Juliet was making a snow lion. The legs needed to be just so to support the creation, and he was working on reinforcing them along with adding details. He heard more footsteps, and paused. Who could that be?

So he peered around, looking, until he saw a young man that was firstly, looking very serious, and secondly, had interesting hair. It took a lot of effort not to stare.

He turned back to the lion. Juliet would have said hi, but if this collapsed it would take awhile to rebuild.

Rat had had to climb onto Ari's head and leap for the button that would take them to the Wilderness.

He could actually do it now, too - that is, both reach the button and not squish her skull a little. After she'd suddenly shapeshifted, she was about twice the size she'd been when she was reborn. And she didn't quite understand why she'd changed, but she didn't mind at all. Somehow, it felt completely natural. Perhaps she'd become a big white cat again soon, if she transformed again. She was figuring time to have been what had activated the change. Apparently, growing wouldn't take her too long after all ( ... )

All right! esoteric_rose November 16 2009, 03:22:31 UTC
Juliet had found a new game to play in the snow-fall, then see if you could get up without ruining the imprint in the snow. He had been failing, but it was still fun.

Light laughter reached his ears, and he got up and followed it to find-

A strange yellow creature and a rat.

He smiled at the two, they seemed to find this just as fun as he did. "Hello!"
