The cold felt good on the rather large throbbing mass he was hiding behind his hair. It was getting rather long at this point and he'd pondered cutting it but other things had occupied his mind, most of which he refused to talk about. The panda really wasn't helping either.

He was bundled up in a puffy coat he'd borrowed from Eyepatch. Sadly, no scarf. That'd burnt up in the fire and he hadn't had the heart to tell Juliet about it yet. He'd definitely notice at this point anyway.

A flying kick came out of seemingly nowhere. Where are you going idiot!

Rabbit didn't really have time to react and found himself face down in the snow. He emerged, rubbing the back of his head. "Dammit, annoyin' old man! I told ya that already! I'm goin' t' play in the snow!"

Have you forgotten what you are?

He brought a cold hand to his forehead in disbelief. "I told ya, I can't remember! Tell me then!"

But the panda remained silent. Rabbit sighed and stood up, soon spotting juliet who stood out easily against the white snow. He snuck up behind his effeminate friend and sprung the usual greeting. "Yo, Jules ♥"

"Hey," he responded, smiling brightly. "Good to see you!" He pushed back some hair from his face and gestured at all the snow. "This has to be the most fun."

Ann chirped up from the branch where she perched. "He seems genial, but why is there a panda?"

"Why are you a bird?" he replied. "Because."

Rabbit smiled largely, happy to see his friend in high spirits. The two of them stood out brightly against the white snow.

"Sure looks like it," Rabbit agreed. "Ya think we could make a bunny outta this?" He pushed the snow with the boots, noticing how well it bunched together. Should be able to pack it together tightly enough to make some good shapes, right?

The panda, however, simply sat there, seemingly observing Juliet and the bird.

"Absolutely!" With a graceful kick, Juliet knocked off half of the snowman he had been making. He picked up some of the fallen snow and began to shape it as he put it on. The ears would be a difficult thing to keep supported...

He paused. "Something like this, or different?" he asked his friend.

Rabbit grinned broadly. "Hey, that's pretty good!" Rabbit crouched down himself to gather some snow and help pack it onto the bunny head rather tightly, working to get the snow to stick. He hoped to make rather straight ears, like the ears on a chocolate bunny.

The snow was rather cold between his fingertips, but the cold didn't really bother him. It felt felt refreshing actually. In a way, it also felt like he'd done something similar before he'd gotten here but Rabbit couldn't quite put a memory or even an image to it.

Juliet smiled back. The cold was dulled by the black gloves he wore, but they were thin enough to still permit delicacy. He began to shape one ear, and that's when he noticed it-Rabbit's scarf was gone.

That was odd. "Did you forget your scarf?" he asked, eyes not leaving the emerging ear.

Rabbit looked down for a moment, considering fabricating a lie about the scarf to avert any questions about what exactly had lead to his death. Then again, it was a lie he'd get caught in pretty easily and the fire wasn't his fault in the first place.

"Got caught in the fire," he admitted. Even if he had survived, the scarf was trashed. Most of the scarf had been burnt by the time he'd run into Bridge.

Juliet frowned lightly. "That's a shame," he said. But seeing as half his house had burned, he could understand.

And then there was the faintest of pressures on his heart. "...You know what's weird? It's like there was a haze in my mine for the days right after. I can only half remember...like a dream."

Rabbit pondered the statement for a moment, packing on more snow to support the ears. Did Juliet not remember the events of the fire either? Just like Bridge didn't remember? Rabbit wasn't about to tell Juliet the bloody mess he found his body in.

"A lot happened, didn't it? Good thing it's over ♥"

He smoothed the side of the ear. "I made Dani tell me what I did...so I know I didn't dream it. She said someone helped her after I passed...but she won't tell me who it was or what I had done then. I just want to know, so I can thank that person and remember why there's marks."

He blinked. "Sorry, I didn't mean to say that."

Strangely enough, Rabbit smiled a bit. "'salright. 'least it's not a mystery, yanno?" He didn't want to be the one to explain what had happened. He'd describe it as he saw it, which probably wasn't the best plan of action in this sort of situation. Dani seemed much more suited for the situation.

He also didn't fully want to admit to himself how much it had hurt to see Juliet like that.

Juliet finished his ear. "Did you know," he said, maneuvering to switch topics, "that flowers have meanings? They symbolize different things based on type and color. So, in effect, you could send messages in bouquets and only the reciever would know what it means."

"Oh yeah?" That piqued his interest quickly. The thought of a secret code within flowers seemed unusual but highly intriguing. It was, also, a secret code, and secrets interested him to no end.

Rabbit glanced at the panda, who simply nodded in return, almost as if to push Rabbit to ask more. "How so?"

"Uh huh!" He nodded and began smoothing the second ear. "Like white chrysthanthemums mean truth, tuberoses mean danger or pleasure, snapdragons mean deception, pink roses mean admiration...they all have various things attached."

Rabbit absorbed the information like a sponge, rather intrigued by the idea. "There's gotta be at least several hundred flowers. All of 'em got a meaning?"

And if that's true, combined with the color and pattern possibilities, the meanings could get well into the thousands. It really was a secret language wholly in itself.

Juliet thought. "The vast majority, if not all. There's a story about it starting in the East...a woman who was exchanging bouquets with her true love was found out by her jealous husband, and she was thrown into the river. She was carried far, and rescued, when she eventually came to England and spread her knowledge."

He froze. The word had nearly burned him. "...England."
