Snow, on the other hand, wasn't as familiar to Dani as it was to Juliet. She felt as though snow equaled mountains, and mountains made her feel...cautious.

But whatever. This snow was harmless, right?

Bundled up as much as she could be (coat, hat, scarf, gloves, sweater, boots, 'sweatpants' and extra, thin pants under that), Dani waddled down to the Wilderness to find Juliet.

Juliet instantly heard when Dani grew close, the snow crunching under her feet a giveaway. He turned, still smiling. "Fully prepared for the weather?"

Inwardly he laughed. She was so cute, all protected and bundled against the cold.

"Yup!" Dani grinned. "After this, we are totally raiding the hotel for hot cocoa and taking it back to the house. Or maybe we can just chill there for a while." She wasn't going to that ice house, though. That would be cold, and Dani didn't want to get colder.

"So, whatcha makin'?"

"Sounds like a plan. I hope they have some left." Juliet had stared at the construction of the pretty house for a while, wondering where all the ice came from.

"Well...a snow person." He began to gather another pile to make the middle.

"Snow person?" Dani tilted her head. "Who're ya making? Can I help?"

"I don't know." Ann flew over and sat on his head. "Of course you can!"

Before Dani could start helping, Guardian swooped down and landed on her shoulder. He glared at her, pecking her head.

Do not leave me like that again, Cecdan.

"Don't be such a party pooper then," she retorted, rubbing her head. "Now move, I'm gonna help Julie here."

Guardian ruffled his feathers and flew over to a nearby tree to watch as Dani started rolling up more snow for the middle. "He's such a grump," she complained.

"But he seems to care about your well being. Still, he could edge off a bit. Are you bleeding?" he asked as he put more snow on the middle.

He smiled as it began to take shape. "Can you remember snow?"

Dani nodded. "A little. I keep thinking it's supposed to be piled on a mountain, and whenever I think of that, I feel kinda gloomy and depressed. But then I see the snow all pretty like this and it goes away! And nope, not bleeding!" She smiled.

"Mountains? I think of streets with snow alongside." And lights in windows, laughter, and color...what was he thinking of? He didn't know. "Good, because bleeding Dani is not a good thing." He then picked up the middle and set it on the base, carefully smoothing it out.

"I think I've been to a mountain with snow on it, and something bad happened there," replied the blonde. "But nothing's bad happening here!"

While Juliet wasn't looking, Dani was making a snowball. She'd heard people mention them and she wanted to try. "Hey, Julie, what's that, over by the hotel?"

She'd throw it as soon as he wasn't looking.

"Nothing bad will happen," he said absently, picking up more snow for the head. He looked in the indicated direction. "I don't see-"

And it connected with his head. He turned back slowly with a look of surprise that morphed into a grin, and he took a lump of the snow he had been working with and threw it at her.

Shrieking, Cecdan scooped up more snow and tossed it at Juliet as the snow tossed at her impacted with her chest. It didn't hurt, she was bundled up too much for it to, but she did feel the snow hit. "Take that!"

He just laughed, raising an arm to deflect the snow. He picked up more and threw it, but it more fell apart and acted like a little shower.

Cecdan stuck her arms out and spun in the falling snow, laughing. "You need to work on your aim, Julie," she quipped. "Badly."

"Isn't my fault it's unsticking!" It was a childish thing to blame the bad shot on, and he didn't care. Picking up more snow, he tossed it at her shoulder. "My aim is fine!"
