Characters: AU!Otogi Ryuuji, OPEN Where: The park When: Afternoon, before dark Summary: Otogi's in the mood to amuse himself. Be afraid. Warnings: Animated snowballs that go "rawr" at people.
Elena casually strolled down the street, idly staring up into the sky, the brisk snowflakes touching her pink cheeks. It was nice to have days like this, even though they were cold. She shivered and tucked her gloved hands into the pockets of her puffy white jacket. "I wonder if anything will happen today. Probably not. It's all the same here..."
Otogi spied someone; they weren't quite in the park, but they weren't far from it, so he decided they were far enough game. Besides, they probably wouldn't connect the snowballs to him right away. With a flick of his finger, he sent the snowballs rolling over towards her. As one, the half-dozen rolled, and as they rolled, they uttered a collective "RAWR!"
Elena heard the dull thudding and roars, and glanced up to the the growing snowballs rushing towards her. "What the hell?!" She dashed out of the way, managing to avoid them. "Phew! That was close! Wonder where they came from..." Just then, one more snowball came up from behind her and hit her square in the back, knocking her down painfully. "GAH!"
The snowballs circled around here and began to "Rawr" repeatedly, one of them bouncing closer, intent on gnawing on her hair if it wasn't knocked away.
Otogi got up and wandered a bit closer, wondering if he'd have to tone them down a little. They weren't supposed to really hurt anyone, just tease them a little.
Mosquiton had never minded cold weather much. He was pretty resilient to most things, ranging from low temperatures to bullets. The worst thing about snow, as far as he was concerned, was the way it reflected the light. At the moment, however, he was safely shielded by his sunglasses and was simply enjoying how clean and white everything looked. It actually took him a moment to notice that something was chewing on his arm.
"Hey, where'd you come from?" he demanded.
The snowball went, "Rawr, rawr, rawr," which wasn't very informative.
Otogi grinned when he saw one of his little toys chewing on some guy. It wasn't someone he knew, but that covered a lot of people in Econtra. "Having some trouble there?" he asked innocently, trying not to grin in such a way to make it obvious that he was in any way connected to the snowball currently chewing on the stranger.
The snowball apparently didn't care. All it said was "Rawr!" and kept on chewing.
Otogi still managed to keep himself from snickering. "I think it looks like it's having fun," he replied solemnly. "There can't be too much that a snowball can do for kicks after all."
Having learned her lesson last time, Atem made sure that, this time, she found a well shaded spot to have a nap. There'd be no water glare to blind her this time!
Using her claws, she scrambled into one of the trees, before finding a nice, comfortable branch, where she promptly curled up, before disappearing into dreamland.
The snowballs bounced around a while before they became aware of the fact there was someone up in the tree. One of them managed to bounce up there and it settled in front of Atem, opened wide, and, "Rawr!"
"Rawr!" The snowball threw itself at Atem, though it wasn't really all that forceful. It tried to gnaw at the closest body part, which would mainly result in her getting a mild chill for the most part.
Otogi, who kept a watch on what his little toys were doing, was trying hard not to laugh as he watched from a short distance away. And this time, he was failing pretty hard.
Much as it was too cold to sleep outside comfortably without risk of self-harm, Larka did love the winter weather. Especially the snow - apart from other reasons, it provided rather good camouflage opportunities when compared to her white fur.
So of course she was going to be out on a day like today, if only to enjoy the weather a bit. It was too bad there was nothing to hunt (she wasn't going to attack any of the other sentient residents unless it was in self-defense), but she'd been living like that for the last year. She was used to it, by now...
Otogi recognized Larka, having met her some months earlier. He wondered what she'd do if a wandering snowball wandered by...so with a wave, he sent one wandering by her.
Because her attention to her surroundings had, admittedly, gone lax, Larka didn't notice anything coming at her until she heard a 'RAWR!' coming toward her. Her reflexes caused her to bound away quickly, turning around and giving a quiet growl of warning as she looked at what had come that close without her noticing... though she wasn't quite sure what to make of it once she saw it.
This didn't look like a resident. It didn't really smell like any Lera, either, though there were washed-out traces of various scents on it, barely there, all too jumbled to really tell. It gave another 'RAWR!' and came in her direction, prompting her only to walk backwards, unsure as to what to do, only able to wonder aloud, "What are you?"
Otogi considered for a moment, then decided to do things differently with her. "It's just a snowball. One I'm moving around by magic." He leaned against a tree and watched her curiously.
