Beautiful images! My DLSR does not have a lens powerful enough for capturing moon photos. Great colors in your images!

Thanks. I had to manually focus the lens right on the moon....and the camera does its magic. I often get those rust and golden colors when there are clouds around the moon. I don't know where they come from, but I'll take it.

I really love the colours in the background of these photos - very unusual. Great shots! My camera won't take photos of the moon, either. It should. I just don't think I have got the right lens for that.

I had to hand focus my sights right on the moon or else it kept blurring and focusing on the leaves. I think this gave me the nice soft surroundings and the flash maybe gave me all those colors. I don't know...I'm just guessing. The camera silently does its magic.

Great moon shots.

Your friend's celebratory dinner is a wonderful tradition. Congrats to her.

Thanks!
These yearly celebrations are so uplifting, but bittersweet, too. We always take the time to remember our friends who have lost the battle, but then we are so thankful for those who go forward to another day.

Beautiful moon photos - Alas, mine doesn't have a good enough lens to do the same which is a shame :-/

Mine are far from perfect. You should try with your camera and just see what you get.

Please wish her congratulations from me. I'm a 5 year survivor and I really appreciate every woman who has had to endure all the pain and indignity that goes along with cancer. It's so nice that she has this ritual with all of you.
