I made coleslaw (cabbage + carrot) for fish tacos on Friday, but I kept the sauce and the veg separate because I was using a chipotle mayo and recently Pippa's rejecting everything spicy. Oof. I made a "gobbler pie" (shepherd's pie with turkey) for dinner and I overate. It was a crazy evening and so I didn't get to eat until after 8pm, sitting in front of the computer, and I just kept moving the fork from plate to mouth until I suddenly realized that I was stuffed. I'm still doing liturgical eating (check the tag if you don't know what I mean) in a quiet way. Lent is a fairly easy time to do it because so many saint's days get suppressed. I was surprised at how easy it was to make my own fish fingers! I used this recipe for the fingers and this recipe for "Alabama white sauce", although I left out the lemon juice because I didn't have any. That sauce is REALLY good.
