That's kind of boring mate. No sparkles or anything?

Oh, that's an excellent idea for my next test. Why don't you think reallly hard, and we'll see if sparkles appear next. There might be a correlation!

((a smile. You will come to hate him.))

Nothing of the sort. Here... ((he removes his blazer, shaking it out, then his arms to prover there's nothing in the shirt underneath.))

Why, I'd let you search me if you were here, but since you're not, I can't very well do that. ((shrugs.))

[Conan sighs and decides to drop the facade of believing in the trick.] Ne, why are you pretending to do magic tricks?

I was curious how far the illusion was working. I know my roommates and I have been seeing the same things appear at the same time, but I didn't know if it would have a similar effect over the network. Just a one of many tests I've tried on these.

This just made it more fun.

((A smile and a laugh.))

Luffy, haven't you heard? A magician never reveals his secrets. You have to unveil them yourself.

But that's too much work! Just tell me!

Well, I found what looked to be a marble, introduced said marble to the network. Then I did this: ((repeats the motions)) and it was gone!

Is there a reason yer doin' tricks?

[And it better not be because of what's going on.

Heiji caught that by the way.]

This time, yes. I wasn't sure if an object could be seen over the network, so I tested it.

Are you insinuating something?

Why yes. I'm making it known that these illusions aren't your typical psychological trick. Perhaps I'm disproving my own doubts, but it's not normal for people to experience an illusion as a group, at least not at this extent. I thought maybe it wouldn't succeed over the network, so I decided to test it.

Our captors like to keep things interesting at least. Suspending ones disbelief usually makes people more vulnerable. I found it a little fishy we're offered as much freedom as we have, and even with all this freedom. We all could just leave, but if we did that there is that chance that we'll find nothing, and die before we leave this place.

Is there any record of someone trying to escape, or does everyone stand around and let these self proclaimed scientists mess with them?

I believe there was a group who ventured to the east in attempt to find a new settlement, but ending up being sent back due to low supplies and strange findings.
