Just got off the phone with Verizon. Kathleen has had her new phone for 10 days, and she's already racked up 250 text messages and 10 MB of data usage (all at the pay-as-you-go rate). Rod Blagejovich...holy crap. I thought I was already cynical about politicians, but this dude takes the cake. I know Fitzgerald has been emphatic that Obama was not involved and had no knowledge of the scheme to sell his Senate seat, but still...that's the environment Obama cut his teeth in. Congratulations to President-elect Obama! His acceptance speech was incredibly moving, and McCain's concession speech was very classy.

Although I did not vote for Obama, I am cautiously optimistic as he moves forward.  I think his toughest challenge may be herding the jackassesdonkeys in his own party. I hope he is up to it.
