There is dood here at work right now and he sounds like the love child of Sling Blade's Karl and Tammy Faye Messner. He's talking to one of the circ people but I can't figure out what he's saying. My boss just came out to tell him to be quiet.

I put up my display on Kafka and people complimented me on it. I thought it looked boring (no plastic cockroaches, sorry!) but whatever, I'm supposed to do another one for next month. I'll probably do the short story next ( Read more... ) -
Work
I agreed to do a display for work. This is my attempt to seem involved so that maybe they will give me a full-time job. I kinda floundered around looking for ideas and then settled on doing a display about short stories. DC was a hootenanny, y'all. Fabulous neverending geeky librarian party with lotsa free booze, cheese, film screenings, and advanced reader's editions. But man, oh man, was it expensivo. Even their "bargain" restaurants required a visit to the local loan shark ( Read more... ) -

I leave for geeky librarian conference in 3 and a half days! Garsh, I hope I get me some swanky galleys.
I'm supposed to call my dad since it is Father's Day and all. But haven't brought myself to do it yet. He's prolly gonna bitch at me and talk about his crazy-ass-effed-up relationship. So no thank you, I have no desire to call my dad at this -

Here I sit at work. There are no emails to reply to the Inbox. So I have been checking personal email and trolling around on MySpace for about 3 and a half hours. Maybe I will balance my checkbook and attempt to create a budget for 2007. Hrmmm...
Tomorrow I venture to SA to visit grandparents. I have not seen them since August. Am horrid -
