Hi! I'm inmensely happy that you decided to post this outside the meme. It's easier to read this way and the pdf thing is brilliant.

I remember talking to you about your notes in the Discussion Post and I'm still at awe at the amount of time and research you have dedicated to this story. I never cared about this ship (not a fan of Spain, long story is long) but your story had me on the edge of my seat act after act.

I think you have managed to capture the time "taste" wonderfully, as well as their personalities. I'll print and re-read the complete story and probably be back with more comments, but I just wanted to say "thank you" for this superb story.

Hello ex-anon! Dude seriously I know right. One of the main reasons why I picked pdf-ing the story was so that I could introduce some fancy-schmancy formatting, like the report from the New World from Salvador (Spain's attendant at the time). If you actually download the pdf to your computer, I've added bookmarks for some quick jumping around. If you're going to print it out, I really insist you install Carmencita since that is what the ACT I, II and III text is supposed to be in (and not the weird serif font they defaulted to) - unfortunately I forgot all about the embedding issue with that damn font ( ... )

Your notes are amazing. I'm downloading the font type and printing this because I find it easier to read long stories in hard-print (stupid faulty eyes). I'll read this again as soon as I can print it (or ask my dad to print it in his office, lol) and I'll be back with comments :D

Hi dear!
I was waiting your de-anon <3!
I still want to transalte this in Italian, if you don't mind! I'd like to translate the trilogy, and anything you'll write about Spain and Austria in the future <3
Let me know if you want to work together with me <3

Anyway, I seriously love what you wrote! I don't know how to express my admiration <3!

Well hello

To be completely frank, I'm still kind of unsure about an Italian translation, simply because I won't have much control over the quality of the translation because I don't understand Italian. So, you know, I still need a little more convincing. I mean, by all means you can start on it if you'd like and show it to me (and compare what you've translated with what I've written) and maybe that might get me more confident.

On that note, don't get your hopes up for more Austria/Spain. XD

Oh, I understand!
That makes me a bit sad, but I completely understand.
Anyway, I would send the work to you so that you could check the quality of the translation. If you're not sure about a cooperation, I will (sadly) give up.

Unfortunately, Italian and English are very different languages - I would try to mantain your style, but sometimes what sounds perfect in English results strange in Italian: that would be the only thing that could make me change a bit the structure of your phrases. On the other hand, I love your story so much that I would put all my efforts in making the translation as accurate as possible.

I've already translated something, so if you are interested in checking it I will send it to you.
I hope you could change your mind!

Send it away! Maybe you could upload it somewhere like mediafire and post the link here?

Hello. XD This is a long time after, but here's a housekeeping note from me: There's a new pdf available! It's cleaned up formatting and grammar so be sure to download it.

I will definitely read this but I must say, before I even begin, that this is the first time I've seen such a hefty explanation accompanying a fic. And it entices me.

Weeeeeeell the story in and of itself can be a little confusing because it was written in different chunks and concerning different parts of history, plus I'm sure most readers would have similar concerns/questions regarding certain things so the explanation really is necessary.

All right! Let me stretch my fingers.

Point the first: AHAHA uh yeah I have confirmed that I am insane and I shouldn't be allowed to live. But I'm going to anyway. Damn it.

Second: Oho well, technically, there's a simple formula for determining that. 1. What is Austria's true intention? 2. Everything he says towards that goal is a lie. That whole "Love is a joke" thing... half-lie. There's a great deal of truth in his lies, he just over-emphasises the 'lie' part to achieve his ends. Honestly though, most of the lying is done towards the end of chapter 3 (or, most of the important lying). Austria doesn't really want to be horrible to Spain but he's very good at assuming political roles.

And... interesting comment on this one. XD

The first sex scene wasn't detachment. They were very into it. Spain didn't want to be with Austria because he did not have true confirmation of either of their feelings, so he was repressing himself to be around Austria. Once it finally sinks in for both of them that Spain is physically if not romantically ( ... )
