A meme I stole from tumblr. And since I seem to be really curious about this type of thing at the moment, I decided to post it. And I know I don't have a huge amount of LJ friends, but I'm leaving the post open so feel free to direct people here because, like I said, curious.

I'm really interested in all things fic at the moment. Reading and writing. I love talking (or writing I guess) about it or just reading what others say and discus. (you can even ask Haikuesque - I ended up asking them a whole heap of questions not so long ago XD) And sometimes I just look at a fic and go 'how did you do that?', 'how did you come up with that?', 'how did you make me feel like this?' And then I just sit and weep in awe.
This list was stolen but I was thinking about writing my own set of questions. More based on the writing process and the whys of things. I really like hearing what others like/dislike, their thoughts on different topics, how they work, etc. For example, today and yesterday I was writing on till receipt and napkins. It's literally been years since I've written anything with paper and pen. I started wondering if people did drafts/notes/etc on paper then typed things up. Which led to how many people draft? And so on ( ... )

21. How and when did you get introduced to smut fic? Any horror stories? A: When I was 15 XD. It was het at first, and I would avoid it all. The minute I reached the smut part, I either abandoned the whole thing or skipped it entirely. But slowly i got used to it (het smut). The first time I encountered BL, I was honestly shocked and didn't read it. But then..... AoiUru came into my life, and I was soon used to it. Scorch66 is an AMAZING writer. I love all three of those fics by her that you mentioned. Is http://thescarletscar.livejournal.com/1294.html the Harukana Yakusoku fic you mentioned? Haven't read it but looks interesting. It's quite long tho so not sure I'll be able to read it any time soon. (If ever) I might check out A Desire to Devour as well if I can ;)

I recently read a nice Ryoda college AU fic, Sugar and Salt. I'm not sure how you feel about Ryoda.
So many ppl I know don't like/want kids. I'm in the same boat, btw :)

And yeah, you should totally read it ^_~ It may look long, but some of the chapters aren't even one page =.= trust me.
I'm actually tbh not a fan of RyoDa. I tried to be, and read a few RyoDa fics, but I just couldn't get into it. I suppose because there wasn't any chemistry going on for them for me. *bricked*
Agree completely with the random japanese thing btw. I guess it just doesn't fit with the flow...

I have songkissed added but have only read Guilty Pleasure so far. I do plan to read more. I've not read any of KamexKame fics, but might poke around the lj sometime. Ryo and Kame have always been my two favourites in JE but I've really not read a whole lot of KamexRyo stuff. I never really, got into the pairing. I was always an akame girl >.< But I'm reading it a little more now. I honestly didn't intend or expect it, but this meme actually turned into a good way to find good fic lol
I hate having to warn for stuff, because I feel like it gives away (some of) the story. But at the same time, I understand why they are important for some people.
The main thing that bothers me is when someone's writing a non-conish, dub-conish scenerio and they don't even seem to realise that that ( ... )

But at the same time, I understand why they are important for some people.I'm generally on the side of overwarning for stuff, but you could always ljspoiler warnings or make them highlight to read, so that people who need them can read them, but people who don't care or like to be surprised don't get spoiled ( ... )

Lucky, or, my selection process naturally filters out anything that includes stuff like that. Or maybe a bit of both. I agree about the overlap between anime/j-pop. Personally, I was never really into anime or manga, so maybe this also contributed to the fact I have only seen it once.
