Fanfic asks
A meme I stole from tumblr. And since I seem to be really curious about this type of thing at the moment, I decided to post it. And I know I don't have a huge amount of LJ friends, but I'm leaving the post open so feel free to direct people here because, like I said, curious.

General:
1. Do you read fic? Do you write fic? Yes and Yes.
2. Favorite genre of fic? I'm pretty okay with most genres I think. If the summary sounds interesting I'll give it a go (and sometimes if I'm bored, I'll give anything a go).
3. Favorite fandom? At the moment J&A (KAT-TUN-centric)all the way. Started reading way back when in Star Trek:Voyager fandom. Also read Buffy/Angel, Merlin, Doctor Who. Started writing with Star Trek: Enterprise fiction.
4. Favorite pairing? I think it can be pretty well summed up as Kame/everyone (not so much Akame these days though. I read a lot of it upon first entering the fandom and there are a few on-going stories I continue to read to see where they go but in general I don't care much for it anymore.). Also love Taguchi/Nakamaru; Ryo/anyone in KAT-TUN; little bit of RyoPi.
5. Favorite fic author? songkissed & kamexkame. Their RyoKame fics are excellent and really got me hooked on the pairing. If you haven't already, go read them now.
6. Favorite fic (or one of them)? from the above authors - A World of Lies and Love and Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me respectively (neither of them are fully complete yet but don't let that stop you) and of course everything else they write could also easily go on this list.
7. One-shots or longfic? Either
8. Do you read WIPs? Yes.
9. What is the longest fic you’ve read? No idea. I don't really look at word counts myself. And just going off chapters can be misleading, since some people write short chapters and others write long ones.
10. Favorite trope/element/scenario in fic? I love get together fics, humor,
11. Least favorite trope/element/scenario?
12. What turns you away the most from a fic? Infidelity, terminal illness, Grammar and spelling sometimes does and sometimes doesn't - depends on the mood I'm in/pairing etc, to be able to wade through it if it's too bad.
Angst:
13. Has a fic ever made you cry? I can't recall one off the top of my head, but my memory is pretty bad, so it's not impossible.
14. What tropes/elements/scenarios get you the worst?
15. Do you mind when characters cry? I only mind if they are constantly crying at the drop of a hat for no particularly good reason.
16. How do you feel about character death in fic? I don't really care for it, but it can depend. If it's a heavily action-oriented plot (Assassin/Yakuza AU or something) then I'm generally okay with it, although I'm much happier if it's only minor characters dying rather than the main pairing. Terminal illness on the hand - I can't deal and don't want to go anywhere near it (unfortunately this is the type that most commonly gets sprung on you unwarned for)
17. Any characters who you can’t stand to see in pain? Nope, sometimes that's half the point of reading the fic - gotta love the hurt/comfort genre
