Friday evening, ate a quick dinner a Hot Lips Pizza then rode down to OMSI to see the Body Works exhibit since it was the last night I could use my free pass from OHSU. This evening I went to a Pedalpalooza event with the girl I met last Saturday, Ashley, and a couple of her friends. The event was a dance party on top of Rocky Butte. Someone hauled a JBL speaker and another guy brought a full DJ setup. Everyone else brought themselves and a bunch of people brought food. For the second weekend in a row, I manage to ride over 100 miles in a day. There was a triathlon going on Marine Drive, so it was deliciously quiet and lacking in motorized vehicles. That was the second most painful bike ride I've ever been on. I ended up riding almost all the way out to Multnomah Falls and probably would have gone all the way if my left knee hadn't been giving me so much trouble. Today I got to ride home under 2.5 rainbows. Finally, a reward for biking home in the rain.

Today was painful. Thankfully in a literal rather than figurative fashion. Even though my quads hurt like woah all day, I still managed to bike to and from work. The one really good thing about it all was realizing that my joints didn't hurt, as they tend to be the weakest link. And my knees were twinging a bit while I was running.
