I'm lucky to have found a good vet. I remember the first time she called me back so long after hours. She said she wanted to make sure she talked to me before she left so I wouldn't worry.

It's good to have those kindnesses in our lives.

I've been lucky like that. She's just the one out of like three there that I happened to go to and now I'm sticking with her.

I'm sorry to hear about Shiva, but I'm glad your vet is one of the good ones. It's also good to hear you loved the paw print so much... we started doing the ink paw prints at my practice and I was convinced that it was trite and that no one really liked them, but I guess I was wrong!

I thought of people who get footprints of their babies when they're born and realized I'd never had anything like that for Shiva. It felt good somehow. I'm just one of those people who feels weird about little things like that. It mattered to me.
