returned a few days ago from my third trek on the applachian trail, the section from hot springs to erwin. it was mostly good, frigid the first night with lows in the 20's, matt and i basically ended up with frozen beards when morning came. intended to do a 70 strech but matt hurt his knee about 30 miles in so we hitched from devils fork to erwin, ( Read more... )

The streams became rivers by merging as they moved oceanward.
I've been by the sea on and off for a few weeks now.
The thoughts, from the past are coming in on jet skies.
I miss the togetherness. i miss it.
The people i love, are like ghosts.
They walk through songs and they come in and out of doors

this week has been such a hassle and i'm exhausted.
cleaning out my moms house has been like cleaning out a goodwill.
i never realized how much stuff she had.
thankfully wes has been helping me [and my brother and sis].
and i got to see steph at the airport.
she was glowing.
and it was sweet.
i can't wait for things to be normal again.

my brother's birthday was the 16th.
and last night was the first snow of the season.
and whiskey worked about as well as water.
