hot springs to erwin?

returned a few days ago from my third trek on the applachian trail, the section from hot springs to erwin. it was mostly good, frigid the first night with lows in the 20's, matt and i basically ended up with frozen beards when morning came. intended to do a 70 strech but matt hurt his knee about 30 miles in so we hitched from devils fork to erwin,
