*he is walking to his room, gripping the wall with one hand and holding his throbbing head with the other, feeling dizzy and disoriented. He just needs to lie down. He didn’t know the headache would turn out to be so bad

*shuffling (elegantly, of course, he's Cross) down the hall, on his way to the clinic to get something for his pounding head, sort of hating everything; he has a hangover, can you blame him?

But then he spots Komui, curled up against the wall, and can't resist going over to poke him, more worried than he'll ever admit.*

... Hey.

[curiousmalady]

*His eyes flit up into the distant hallway, and he sees it approaching, making terrible screeching noises that echo throughout the hall. Gigantic talons and terrible brown wings flapping.

It is a humongous chicken, smack in the middle of the hallway, headed straight for Komui. He shivers in fears, trying to get to his feet.*

No...

*He notices Cross, and his nerves are drenched in a fresh wave of fear, beyond reason. He is suddenly and inexplicably afraid of the man, and he struggles upward, moving away, trapped between Cross and the chicken, pale-faced and breathing heavily, his pupils widening with fear. He grips the wall in a state of panic.*

... What are you doing? I'm not that scary.

[curiousmalady]

*He's confused. What is Cross saying? Doesn't he see it? He must be helping it, conspiring against him.*

no...Ch-chicken!!

*He begins running, dodging past Cross and away from the frightening bird.*

[He's walking from his own room when he catches a glimpse of the other man curled on the floor. And the fear and worry hit so fast it could give a normal person whiplash, and as soon as they do he runs to him, crouching and giving him a little poke]

Komui!?

[curiousmalady]

*Shivering and watching what is happening before him, he doesn't even hear Bak's voice or feel his hand touch his shoulder. And what he sees in front of him, about twenty feet away, is Lenalee, his Lenalee, holding hands with a dark, blurry stranger. They are in love, they are married, he can feel it. He feels helpless, powerless...*

...Lenalee...have you forgotten your brother?

*She whips her head around to face him. "I never needed you, you idiotic, snot-nosed bastard!"

Komui feels as though his heart has been wrenched apart. He struggles to get to his feet, whimpering a bit, reaching towards his sister.*

...N-noo...

[kardial]

[Bak blinks, only half aware that Komui's out of it. He tries to hold him down, not wanting the other to hurt himself]

Komui! It's me, Bak...

[curiousmalady]

*He notices Bak for the first time. And when Bak holds him down the struggling becomes even more urgent, and he wriggles free of Bak's grasp and begins to run towards his sister*

N-no...let me go...Lenalee...

[nurselenalee]

[She had finished her shift at the clinic and had cheanged into her normal cltes when she spots the amiliar form of her brother]

Brother! [She runs over to hm]

He gasps. Because it's Bak he sees in front of him, limping down the hall, covered in blood. A terrible, putrid odor fills his nose as Bak collapses onto the floor. His Bak. He scrambles to his feet, ignoring Lenalee's call, running and tripping, making his way over to his fallen friend's mirage, real tears running down his cheeks.

Brother! Wait!

[She runs after seeig he's no condition to walk let alone run]

[ooc: ^.~ I know you do~ You're the reason why thind Lenalee has taken off her ring~]

*Reaches Bak's side, and he is kneeling down, his vision blurred by tears, the terrible smell getting stronger. He reaches out to touch his friend, much more than a friend, really. And then he hears Bak's voice clearly inside his own head. "I never loved you. Your kisses meant nothing to me. You hateful creature!"

He draws his hand back sharply, gasping, feeling his torn heart ripped to pieces. He opens his eyes, trying to clear them, to look at Bak's face, to make sure the words are really his. And he discovers Bak's face is blank of features. No eyes, nose, or mouth. Nothing. He begins sobbing, not daring to reach out again.*
(ooc: haha, am I? He did have a bit of an overreaction, didn't he? But he's a Komui. XD)

Komui! What's wrong?

[she runs over]

*He barely notices her. Waves of color float in front of his eyes, swirls of red and pink turning to dark blue and fading, until he can see in front of him, a girl he's never seen before, with brown braids, wearing a magenta skirt, holding a bloodied kitchen knife.*

...N-no!...no...please...*he curls up into a tighter ball, shivering.*

[she tries to put a comforting hand on his shoulder]

Are you hurt? I can't smell any blood here.

[curiousmalady]

*He looks at her, eyes widening in fear, and attempts to scuttle away sideways, eyes shifting from her to the girl holding the knife.*

A-aah...no...

-Komui? What's wrong?

[curiousmalady]

*A strange, haunting music begins to play in his head. He looks around wildly. There are eyes. So many eyes, all staring at him. But when he looks directly at them they disappear. Shivering in fear, pupils widening, he struggles to get up, back against the wall. He just wants to run. Seeing the doctor, he becomes even more afraid. No one can be trusted. He has to hide, has to get to safety. He backs away, unsure where to turn, the eyes staring from all directions.*

N-no...they'll get me...no...

Who will get you? Komui, look at me. Look at me, tell me what's happening.

*No...he can't look at him...he has to get away.*

I...c-can't...

*Something feels terribly wrong. The eyes begin to fade as he starts running towards the darkened corridor, dread coursing through him like poison. But he's only made it about thirty feet before a strange white figure appears at the end of the hallway. His skin crawls as it looms closer...*
