*blinks-- with his good eye, anyway* Sixty-four. Why-?

*simply* Because. Now you need to answer these questions.

1) You are in an old building, where nobody has been in a long time. You discover a set of stairs leading to the basement. How many steps are there?
2) The underground room is completely dark, but you hear somebody. Is that person weeping softly? Moaning wordlessly? Speaking to you?
3) How do you react to the voice? Do you try to seek out the source? Immediately run for the stairs? Stand paralyzed with fear?
4) Now you hear someone calling your name, descending frm the light at the top of the stairs. Who is it?

You're taking a journey through the desert, traveling on a camel. Both the camel and you are near exhaustion.

1) What would you say to the camel?
2) Just when you're about to die of thirst, you reach a beautiful oasis. However, somebody has reached the oasis before you. Who? Name somebody you know.
3) After what seems like an eternity, you reach the end of your journey. How do you feel?
4) The time has come for you to part with your trustworthy camel, but as you dismount, a new rider climbs into your place. Who? Once again, name somebody else you know.

-- right, then.

1) I'm just as tired as you, but we're not there yet, so quit complaining.
2) Ah... my luck being what it is, Mephistopheles would probably get there first.
3) Tired and relieved and ready for a nice cup of tea, a fag, and then to go to sleep.
4) Um -- Michael. Dunno why, that's just who I thought of.

*flips some pages* The desert and camel represent a journey towards personal independence, specifically, that of parting with a lover.

The words you spoke to the camel represents what you might say to yourself when you realise that love has been lost. I think what you said would be words of encouragement-- And the person you find at the oasis represents someone who is comforting, or has helped you solve problems in the past. *^__^* How sweet!

The end of the journey represents how you would feel after recovering from a broken heart. And, the newest rider represents somebody you secretly resent.

If you could join the orchestra, what instrument would you play? The violin, string bass, trumpet, or flute?

I guess "I wouldn't" isn'tan option? . . . String bass.

*flips through the book and peers at the answer*

Well, musical instruments are symbolic of members of the opposite sex. The string bass indicates that you like to take control-- and your skill lies in being able to bend your partners to your will. This dominating character of yours is what makes you so irresistable, apparently.

You are a stage magician, just setting off on a long tour.

1) It's your first night. How do you feel before the show begins?
2) Part of the act involves calling up a member from the audience. Who do you call? Name somebody that you know.
3) Despite all your years of training, something goes wrong. What do you say to the audience member?
4) You're back in your dressing room, after the show. How do you feel?

1) Terribly nervous. Up in front of all those people--!
2) I don't know many people, I'm afraid. Umm. Maybe Miss Next? She seems very nice.
3) Oh, lord, I wouldn't know what to say! Maybe that I'm terribly sorry and nothing like that's ever happened before.
4) Awfully glad to be done with it all.

Well, magic tricks aren't called tricks for no reason, so -- the way you pictured your own performance shows how you see yourself when it comes to lying to or deceiving others.

1) The feelings as you are about to go on represent how you would feel when planning (or imagining) an illicit affair.
2) Apparently, you find Miss Next very gullible?
3) This is what you would say to your partner, were you caught cheating.
4) And this is what you would feel after you did or said something dishonest!

Clearly, you're usually an honest person. *beams*
