After staring at the sheet for a while, Lucivar signs his name under Hunters. After all, he might as well use all this pent up energy for something.

Under FISHERS, PICKERS, and FARMERS, Luther signs his name, in his very small square writing.

"You already got a farm started?"

Headshake. "Goats. I grew up on a farm. I know how."

"Good. We could use the milk, and cheese if you make any."

Telemakos stands in front of the sign, frowning with concentration in an effort to pick some of it, any of it, out. On the other hand, Kay probably doesn't want him anyway. He only has one arm.

Kay notices his waffling, and says "If you want food, you can do something. You can pick berries, if you know plants, or help in the kitchen if not."

He's so startled he laughs. "I can hunt."

"Hunt then. I'll put you on the schedule. Can you read, or you need someone to tell when it's your turn?" This gruff, but not purposely an insult. He's used to most people not reading, or reading poorly.

She hesitates before the sign, looking momentarily blank, and then intensely relieved. She picks up the pen and prints Elaine, neatly, under the last two headings.

Richard, also one armed at present, hesitates before signing his name under "kitchen hands," but ultimately does.
