Jacob Black looks around, obviously rather confused, and more than a little afraid, although rather good at hiding it. "Sam? Bella?" He turns around on the spot a few times, and then, begrudgingly, calls out, "Edward? Anyone?" Not having heard anyone reply, Jacob growls low under his breath and sets about investigating, for lack of anything better

Edward can't really help but stare. He'd hoped for the rest of his family, of course. But oddly enough, he'd never really considered the possibility of Jacob here.

"... Jacob. Hello."

"...Edward." Well, this is wonderful. One of the people he'd least like to see here. It's like the universe is conspiring against him. "Hey."

She hears her name and whirls on the spot, heading to the front door. There was no denying, Bella knew that voice. Impatiently, she calls out, not wanting to wait until she can actually see him standing there. It had to be him, she didn't need visual proof.

"Jacob?"

Her voice echoed down the hall, "Jacob!"

That voice. That's Bella! Bella's here! Grinning like an idiot, Jacob starts running toward the source of the voice, not paying any attention to where he's going or who he might be passing/running into.

"Bella!"

As soon as Jacob came around the corner, Bella squealed with excitement. The fact was, even though she'd chosen Edward over Jacob, the sight of someone else that she knew better than the back of her hand was a breath of fresh air.

"Oh, God! Jacob!" When she was close enough to the huge young man, Bella pounced on him, wrapping her arms around his neck and burying her face in his shoulder. "You have no idea how good it is to see you!"

Jacob swings Bella around, grinning into her shoulder and squeezing her as tight as he can without breaking her. He's trying very hard to say something, but it's difficult to get his mouth to work, he's grinning so wide. Eventually, he just settles for "Hey," still grinning.

Firekeeper, curled up in front of the fire, uncoils, sniffs, and sits back on her haunches, being currently more wolfish than usual. She tilts her head and just...staaaares. Now that, she thinks, is a weird smell.

Jacob stares back for a while, a little (okay, maybe more than a little) confused, then waves. "Hey."

Firekeeper thumps her tail on the ground a couple times, woofs, and is promptly human again, still giving him an odd look. "What are you?"

If Jacob wasn't so used to seeing wolves turn into humans and vice versa, he might have screamed in that high-pitched, girly way that no guy wants to admit they scream in. As it is, he just look extremely surprised. He didn't know there were werewolves outside of La Push, but hey, cool!

"I'm Jacob," he says, aware that he's skirting around her question. It's very difficult to say it out loud, even to someone apparently in the same boat as him. It's... just weird to acknowledge it in general.

Caliban is sitting, fortunately clean at this point, in a chair in the main room, head tilted back and looking very frustrated. When Jacob steps in, his head twitches around so fast he nearly gets whiplash, and he stares at Jacob with slightly narrowed eyes, rubbing his neck, before saying, "You'll be lucky if anyone you know's here. Fucking crazy place."

Jacob nearly jumps out of his skin when Caliban speaks, and whips around quickly to face him, ready to phase should Caliban prove to be a threat. In a foreign place with no familiar faces, Jacob isn't taking any risks. "Who are you?"

Caliban looks blandly back at Jacob, just the slightest bit amused. "Cal Leandros. Just got here a couple days ago." He grimaces, slightly, and goes back to lounging in the chair, still watching Jacob.

He watches Cal for a while, then relaxes the slightest bit and nods. "Jake. Where am I?" he asks, looking around a little before looking back at Cal, obviously not trusting him yet.

Here Jacob, just to make your life better, have a winged, very tall, very pissy in general Warlord Prince stalking in the door, taking one look at Jacob and saying shortly, "He's somewhere around here. Not that you'll find him easily. Damn big place." He unfolds his wings and stretches them a little, rubbing the back of his neck and grimacing.

...now, wings are something Jacob's never seen before. He doesn't mean to, but he's sure he's staring. "Uhm. Who's here?"

Lucivar looks weary but doesn't fold them, the automatic reflex. "The - Edward, yeah. That one." He crooks a half smile. "Talked to him a week or two ago, I think."

Jacob can't help it, he snarls when he hears Edward's name. "You know Edward Cullen?"
