Jacob Black looks around, obviously rather confused, and more than a little afraid, although rather good at hiding it. "Sam? Bella?" He turns around on the spot a few times, and then, begrudgingly, calls out, "Edward? Anyone?" Not having heard anyone reply, Jacob growls low under his breath and sets about investigating, for lack of anything better

She hears her name and whirls on the spot, heading to the front door. There was no denying, Bella knew that voice. Impatiently, she calls out, not wanting to wait until she can actually see him standing there. It had to be him, she didn't need visual proof.

"Jacob?"

Her voice echoed down the hall, "Jacob!"

That voice. That's Bella! Bella's here! Grinning like an idiot, Jacob starts running toward the source of the voice, not paying any attention to where he's going or who he might be passing/running into.

"Bella!"

As soon as Jacob came around the corner, Bella squealed with excitement. The fact was, even though she'd chosen Edward over Jacob, the sight of someone else that she knew better than the back of her hand was a breath of fresh air.

"Oh, God! Jacob!" When she was close enough to the huge young man, Bella pounced on him, wrapping her arms around his neck and burying her face in his shoulder. "You have no idea how good it is to see you!"

Jacob swings Bella around, grinning into her shoulder and squeezing her as tight as he can without breaking her. He's trying very hard to say something, but it's difficult to get his mouth to work, he's grinning so wide. Eventually, he just settles for "Hey," still grinning.

As soon as she is able, Bella pulls her head back and simply stares wide-eyed at her friend, just as dumbfounded, "Hi."

His smile is so horrifyingly adorable. And contagious.

"It is so good to see you." Still grinning, and quite unsure of what else to say, Jacob just hugs her again.

When Bella's words finally came back to her, she returns the hug and says, "Yeah, no kidding! Edward is the only other person I know here, and he can get kind of exasperating sometimes."

"...Edward's here?" Jacob's face falls, and suddenly, he's not as happy as he was even just a second ago. Edward's here.

"Yeah!" Bella saya excitedly, before her face falls too. "Oh, sorry..." she appologizes quickly, "Soooooo, do you want a tour from yours truely or are we going to just continue standing in the entryway?"
