Jacob Black looks around, obviously rather confused, and more than a little afraid, although rather good at hiding it. "Sam? Bella?" He turns around on the spot a few times, and then, begrudgingly, calls out, "Edward? Anyone?" Not having heard anyone reply, Jacob growls low under his breath and sets about investigating, for lack of anything better

Caliban is sitting, fortunately clean at this point, in a chair in the main room, head tilted back and looking very frustrated. When Jacob steps in, his head twitches around so fast he nearly gets whiplash, and he stares at Jacob with slightly narrowed eyes, rubbing his neck, before saying, "You'll be lucky if anyone you know's here. Fucking crazy place."

Jacob nearly jumps out of his skin when Caliban speaks, and whips around quickly to face him, ready to phase should Caliban prove to be a threat. In a foreign place with no familiar faces, Jacob isn't taking any risks. "Who are you?"

Caliban looks blandly back at Jacob, just the slightest bit amused. "Cal Leandros. Just got here a couple days ago." He grimaces, slightly, and goes back to lounging in the chair, still watching Jacob.

He watches Cal for a while, then relaxes the slightest bit and nods. "Jake. Where am I?" he asks, looking around a little before looking back at Cal, obviously not trusting him yet.

Cal half smiles. "Haven't gotten a straight answer to that question. All I've heard is that it's magic or something, and half the people here are -" He stops. Freaks like me, he nearly finishes, but changes his mind. remembering the last time he tangled with unfriendly werewolves.

Jacob raises an eyebrow. "Half the people here are - what?" Intrigued now, Jacob takes a step toward Cal, still wary but having deemed him safe.

"Crazy," Caliban finishes with a little half grimace. "It's just - crazy. Better than home sweet home, though." Except for the whole lack-of-Niko-brother thing. But.

"Home sweet home?" Jacob cocks his head a little, intrigued.

Caliban half smiles. "New York City."

"Ahhh." Jacob weighs telling Cal where he from in his head, then figures it can't hurt. "Forks, Washington."

"Forks?" Cal sounds amused. "Interesting name."
