48. PostSecret: Confessions on Life, Death, and God by Frank Warren - I read this at the library last night while I was killing some time between work and knitting club. I love these books. I have almost decided what to send in as my secret. I wasn't sure if I'd include it on this list - but what the hell! It's my list, I'll do what I want to!

43. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins - yet another alternate reality/sci fi book in the same vein as The Giver. I would highly recommend this for those of you reading this who enjoy that genre. I had this done in memory of my grandmother. It's geraniums because those were her favorite flower. And they're in a bushel basket because she loved me "a bushel and a peck."

Books of 2009: #4
Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. I listened to this one. I liked the story, for the most part. But I wasn't real thrilled with some of the violent scenes. I would fast forward through them. I also thought it was strange how occasionally the story would be recapped in the middle of a situation. And it was looooooooooooooooong.

Books of 2009: #3
Earlier today I finished The True and Outstanding Adventures of the Hunt Sisters by Elisabeth Robinson. It was an easy read, and I got very involved with the characters. The main characters sister is battling leukemia, and I could relate to the time spent sitting in the ICU, worrying, not know what's the right or wrong thing to say. I definitely ( Read more... ) -
