Got a text last night at 11.45pm asking if I was still awake - fortunatly I was or the text message beeping would have woken me. Text back to say I was and got a phone call... Vernal Equinox update and Robin Hood (BBC)
So, the work has been slow going on the shawl. I'm working a 12 row pattern over more than 200 stitches on each row. But I'm half way now so yay ( Read more... ) -

Why is it you only get your groove on at 11pm? I tried to work on this section yesterday morning in an effort to have it all done by bedtime but every stitch seemed to take forever so I only got about 10 rows done of the 54 row section (all but the last 4 worked over 125 sts, the last 4 over 245sts). So is it wrong that I've kinda had enough of lace knitting already? I knew this would be a problem, have known it for a long time which is why despite being able to knit from childhood I have never committed to more than one large project. I get bored!

I did my grade 4 exam for descant recorder about 3 weeks ago - yes that is the instrument you played at school using your nose! Just heard from my music teacher. I passed. In fact I got a credit!!! W00T!! :) I did grade 3 last November but I'm going to take a bit of a break I think. I might do grade 5 in the new year, I might do the piano. I haven' ( Read more... )
