Yesterday was a nice day. It started off by my getting to sleep in until about 6:30am. I know, 6:30 is not what you would call sleeping in, but remember my weekend day starts at 5:30am because of work. The reason I was able to sleep in was because of school. The school requires us to get a CPR card through them as part of the course. For this ( Read more... )

I've never been able to ge into Yu Gi Oh. I've tried to watch it with Joe about a dozen times. Can you share your perspective on it? I'd like to enjoy it as Joe does, but it just hasn't inspired me yet.

The cartoon is just neat. It is not a show that you can really get yourself into. If you get into the show at all it is because you understand it, or at least the game. I just watched it because it is what was on TV when I sat down to eat my Taco Bell. Where I get into Yu-Gi-Oh is the actual game itself, I play it. It is a interesting game with tons of different options, combinations, etc... Think of it as a strategy game. You each have 8000 life points. The goal is to use the cards to perform attack, cast spells, etc... to take away you opponent's life point before they get yours. I know the cartoon uses 4000 LP, but that is because the show isn't long enough to use 8000. I started a few years ago with a basic deck just to see if it was amusing at all(you can get a basic deck for $10). I found it interesting and got hooked. I have several advanced custom built decks. J has more then me. Check it out. http://www.yugioh-card.com

Next time you come to town, I have to have you play that with Joe. He understands the game too. It has a lot of math in it, so I couldn't get it. I usually have him play chess or battleship with me.
